The IBCA Summit, 2026 marks a landmark moment in global Big Cat conservation, bringing together world leaders, Heads of State/Government from IBCA member and observer countries, and more than 400 global stakeholders, including senior policymakers, conservation experts, representatives of multilateral agencies, financial institutions, corporate leaders, and community representatives to advance Big Cat conservation. Convened under the aegis of the Government of India and the International Big Cat Alliance (IBCA), the Summit will culminate in the adoption of the first-ever Global Declaration on Big Cat conservation (The Delhi Declaration), establishing a unified framework to strengthen international cooperation and reinforce IBCA’s role as a leading global platform for conservation efforts.
Big Cats—Tiger, Lion, Leopard, Snow Leopard, Cheetah, Jaguar and Puma—are apex predators and magnificent species that maintain ecological balance across some of the world’s most biodiverse ecosystem. These species historically found across 95 range countries spanning Asia, Africa and the Americas.
India will host the IBCA Summit, 2026 on June 1, 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi followed by Technical Sessions on June 1-2, 2026 at Hotel Taj Palace, New Delhi, under the aegis of Government of India and the International Big Cat Alliance . The Summit represents a historic and first-of-its-kind global gathering dedicated exclusively to address the conservation challenges being faced by the Big Cats across the continents.
The Summit places all major Big Cats at the center of global sustainability discourse—recognizing their conservation as integral to biodiversity security, water security, climate mitigation and community livelihoods.
